My current project- HAED’s Garden

This is my first HAED project (Heaven & Earth Designs – an amazing site!)  Everyone I know was raving about them so my birthday gift request was this chart, which my hubby so graciously purchased for me. Because it’s such a beautiful floral pattern with all of my favorite purples and blues, I decided to do it in Eterna Silk floss. I purchased the whole set of Eterna ages ago while I was living in Australia, and only used it as accents on other pieces. It’s difficult to use with multiple strands as the silk slides off itself, but I knew I was doing this with just one strand, so I figured it wouldn’t be too difficult. The results are absolutely beautiful – I am SO happy I chose the silks. Unfortunately, the photos aren’t quite capturing the full sheen and vibrancy of the colors, but if you saw it in person, you’d be as gobsmacked as I am! 🙂

I am doing it on Zweigart cream cashel linen, 28ct over 1 with 1 strand of silk floss.
